Delicious in salsa or simply sprinkle on fruit…
Pico de gallo powder is a quick way to add a salty fire to your favorite salsa, whether that be a tomato-based pico de gallo or your favorite tropical fruit salsa. The heat comes in many forms, from a little simmer from sweet paprika to a more certain cayenne pepper oomph. You control the overall heat, too, by deciding on a ground red chili pepper that you prefer. It can be milder, like ground ancho, or something more bold, like ground red jalapeño.
Though, you don’t need to get that fancy to enjoy this seasoning blend. Simply pick up some fruit and sprinkle this homemade pico de gallo powder right on top. Any tropical fruit works well, but it’s delicious, too, on apples. It’s salty, fiery, tangy, and sweet all in one.

In a mixing bowl, add all of the ingredients and stir until evenly combined. Use immediately or place it in an airtight jar for future use.
The ground red chili pepper can be mild (like ancho or New Mexican chili powder) or something hotter like red jalapeño powder. Consider how spicy you like your salsa and act accordingly.
