Five Top Contenders For Hottest Sauce In The World

With the five hot sauces we cover here, it’s not just hottest sauce in the world contention, it’s hottest sauce in the universe territory. These are some mighty spicy products below, not for the timid taste buds out there. All of them are born from the upper end of the Scoville scale, 400,000 heat units and above! That’s hot.

But if you’re one who relishes the heat, that takes a bite and says “Please sir can I have some more?” with zest, then these hot sauces should be on your radar. Take a look.

Dave’s Ghost Pepper Naga Jolokia Hot Sauce

With the tagline “So Hot It’s Spooky” you know you may see a ghost with every bite. Ghost peppers are some of the hottest peppers in the world, at one time the record holder actually. They’ve lost that, but they certainly haven’t lost their bite. And Dave’s makes some mighty tasty (and crazy hot) ghost pepper hot sauce. People rave about its flavor, with a hint of fruitiness that precedes the body slam of intense heat. Raw ghost peppers have heat in the 800,000 Scoville heat unit range, so yes – it’s a body slam. This company also makes a few other famously spicy hot sauces, including Dave’s Gourmet Insanity sauce- and some say it’s a toss-up in terms of which is spicier. We’ll go with the ghost here.

Ass Kickin’ Pure Habanero, Red Savina

Any habanero sauce is going to be pretty darn hot, but they’ll never be in contention for the hottest sauce in the world. Now a product made from Red Savina habaneros? That’s a different story altogether. Red Savina habaneros are like habaneros on steroids. They come in almost double on the Scoville scale compared to the regular variety – about 400,000 to 500,000 SHU. That’s obviously lower than the ghost pepper sauce above. But sauce heat has a lot of factors, so don’t rule out this tasty Red Savina hot sauce. It’s got a serious bite. For those experiencing the upper echelons on the pepper scale, it’s a must experience. There’s only a small handful of chili peppers above it.

Heartbreaking Dawns Cauterizer Trinidad Scorpion Hot Sauce

The Trinidad Scorpion Moruga is one of the top hot chilies. How hot? At its hottest, it compares to eating a mild pepper spray. Into it? Yeah, we thought so. Now, not every Scorpion pepper is THAT hot, and the milder ones compare to a hot ghost pepper – so temperatures vary. But when you buy a Trinidad Scorpion hot sauce like this, you know you’re going to experience the wild side of vegetables. And it’s not like the name for this product doesn’t warn you. If you’re into collecting hot sauces, this is an excellent choice as well just for that.

Blair’s Ultra Death Sauce

Should the fact that this hot sauce comes with a skull on a chain be a sign? We think so. Beyond this being a cool collectible hot sauce, it backs it up with intense heat. This is another awesome Red Savina habanero concoction and it’s made with some cool ingredients beyond that, like pumpkin seeds, cayenne peppers, piri-piri, and lime juice. It’s intensely spicy with a nice touch of fruitiness.

Satan’s Blood Hot Sauce

Pure heat, and perhaps a little of the devil him (or her) self! People love adding a bottle of the cool looking Satan’s Blood to their hot sauce collection, but its superior heat makes it a mega favorite as well. It’s simpler than a complex sauce. A few small dabs bring the gobsmack of heat (800,000 SHU!) to any dish, but it’s simply chili extract (really hot chili) and a little red wine vinegar in the mix. It doesn’t mask your food’s flavor like some other hot sauces.
