Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad

Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad

Quick to make, starring cayenne heat…

A simple teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder brings a traditional Caesar salad to new flavor heights. The cayenne provides heat, but doesn’t interfere with the delicious tang of the Caesar dressing. This is a perfect salad for lunch or a light dinner. No cayenne pepper powder? Or do you want a little less heat? Try substituting crushed red pepper instead. It works just as well and provides a lot less spiciness

Mexican meatball soup

Mexican Meatball Soup

Delicious hearty heat…

Mexican meatball soup has that hearty and rustic deliciousness that just puts a smile on near anyone’s face. It’s a meal unto itself, especially when served with tortilla chips or bread. And the spiciness follows through, from meatball to soup base with the ancho pepper powder (or cayenne for those that want spicier) and fresh jalapeño.

Want less of a spicy commitment in your version of a Mexican meatball soup? Halve the amount of fresh jalapeño peppers used. You . can also substitute out the jalapeños for a less spicy chili or even for bell peppers (if no heat is desired.) The ancho and generic chili powders carry little heat. Ancho peppers are very mild (1,000 to 1,500 Scoville heat units compared 2,500 to 8,000 SHU for jalapeños). We recommend keeping them in the recipe even if you’re looking to lessen the heat. They provide more a subtle simmer than any fieriness, and their smoky, Tex-Mex flavors add a lot to the recipe.

Looking for more hearty soups? Check out our collection of 500+ spicy recipes, featuring many fiery options. Try this twist on a traditional – our jalapeño popper chicken soup. Two great tastes and so delicious mixed. Or for something less chunky (but no less fiery or tasty), give this Thai pumpkin soup a taste. It’s not what you expect – think more exotic, fragrant, and sweet.

Mexican Chicken Salad

Mexican Chicken Salad

A spicy take on the chicken salad staple.

Jalapeño peppers add a little oomph to what’s already a delicious meal. We especially like the pairing of the chilies against fresh red apple – it adds a light sweetness that’s very refreshing and a splash of color that looks terrific on the plate. Try it on a bed of lettuce, or opt for that tasty chicken salad sandwich.

Spaghetti Chipotle

Creamy Spaghetti Chipotle With Sausage

Rich, smoky, and savory.

If we had three words, that’s how we’d describe this creamy spaghetti chipotle recipe. The smoke and spice of the chipotle chili is matched well with the savoriness of the hot sausage and bacon. It’s an easy meal to whip up that’s big on flavor. If there’s too much heat, lower the amount of chipotle or choose regular sausage instead of hot.
